Player of the Week

Softball player Katie Antich has been named Player of the Week by the Pacific Coast Softball Conference (PCSC), the first Seattle University player to receive such an honor from PCSC. Antich, who leads her team offensively hitting .421 in the first games of the season, has also been added to the roster for the Husky Softball Classic All-Tournament team. before the start of finals and spring break. While some students will
use the break for R&R, others will do service work at home and
abroad. Spring quarter classes begin March 29.

Mentorship Program Going Strong

The Albers Mentor
Program, coordinated by the Albers Placement Center, celebrates its
20th anniversary this year. Through mentorships, graduate-level and
senior undergraduate business students learn from executives from
leading Puget Sound businesses and organizations. The mentors will be
honored at an anniversary celebration March 16.

Kathleen Rawson was among the Seattle University students at a special
luncheon that brought together scholarship recipients and those whose
generosity makes such scholarships possible at SU. Students shared
personal stories and did some networking over lunch at Campion Ballroom.
Music for Haiti

Seattle University's Chorale, Chamber and Consort singers perform at
the Chapel of St. Ignatius for a Lenten Prayer Concert that also served
as a way to remember those who were impacted by the earthquake in
Haiti. The evening provided an opportunity to reflect on the lives and
work of individuals like Molly Hightower, a volunteer with the Friends
of the Orphans, who lost her life in the earthquake.
Bar Association Honors Law School’s Chang

Professor Robert Chang, director of the Fred T. Korematsu Center for Law and Equality at the School of Law, received the President’s Award from the Korean American Bar Association of Washington. Chang, who founded the Korematsu Center in 2008, is a national expert in race and the law.
